Hey science permies welcome to the Science and Technology group.  My name is Kendra and I facilitated the working group at NAPC 2016.

At the conference we just started to explore the intersections of science and permaculture.  Some themes were

    -Regenerative Systems

    -Discernment Processes

    -New pattern language

    -Relational thinking vs Absolutes

    -Permaculture for the future

    -Social technologies

    -Challenging assumptions

    -Deconstructing the Scientific Method

    -Discernment and Inquiry

-Joining intuitive and analytical problem solving/ knowing

Feel free to use the space below to introduce yourself and your interest in science and technology in a permaculture lens.

Hi guys, I’m Kim, currently in south bay area. Science, especially the basic sciences has always fascinated me. While I eventually ended up in the medical field, I am very much interested in energy technologies. I think technology can play a very beneficial role despite a world entering energy decline. The future lies in appropriate technologies that will be to capture more energy in harmony with our world – maintaining living standards at a much smaller environmental footprint.
