Common Ground Garden Eugene
The Resilient Homes Initiative is an effort to create a Network of residential homes that are prepared for disaster(s), with urban homesteading themes. There are many of these homes in the Bay Area and beyond, and we’d like to Network these homes on a map, identifying them as education centers, places that can locally host discussions about increasing our preparedness, and to also promote neighborhood networking and courageous conversations amongst neighbors.

Yes, this garden is on public property. What could have been a street is a shared garden instead, thanks to neighbors taking initiative and working with the City of Eugene.
So cool! If I want to start something like this in my city, what would you say your best lesson learned is?
